The Founder

Della Porta Luigi, born on March of 1928 in Orta of Atella of Naples in a modest family of peasant origin, when a boy already helped his father in the fields. When he was 20 years old, and the war was finished , he went away for learning a job because he aspired to great things; so in 1948 he met some porphyry's layers of Trentine origin, among wich he did a long mess-tin, learning the old profession of porphyry's layer with heavy sacrifice. In 1952 he came back his origin town where he taught this art also to his five brothers, with which he started an own busyness on October of the same year.

In 1954 he married Mamma Francesca, with wich he had ten children, 6 males e 4 females.

In 1972 he decided to leave the busyness undertaken with his brothers for starting a new activity with his own sons, where he still works. During all period, the founder tried to hand down his whole professional experience to own sons, making with them works of great prestige.

The Sons

After purchasing the whole experience of the laying of the porphyry's cubes from their father Luigi, the sons continued to bring forward the company with great earnestness and professionality, ensuring also the provisions of any kind of stone, both to business and to private, realizing some real and peculiar art works (see Mosaics).
Della Porta's brothers, making in this way, are proving themselves to the first place in the "Stone sector" and in porphyry's laying of South-Middle Italy.

The Works

All the works are straight made by one member of Della Porta's family with highly qualified workers, until its final production; therefore all the works are guaranteed.

Garanzia

The same name is already a guarantee, because all the works that the foundator and the sons made from 1952 until today are never been contested. If perchance there were some fripes about a work made by the society International Porfido, of Della Porta's family, showing a documentation that finds it was poorly executed, he will be entitled to 100 sqm of porphyry's paving free.
N.B. This compensation will be given only after findings and inspection of our staff. Damages due to natural calamity such as earthquake, acid rains etc. are excluded by our responsability.

The Prices

The International Porfido works without intermediaries so it can make restrained and competitive prices, fulfilling all the requirements. Because like the foundatore always says:

              "A saved Euro is a gained Euro"
